LICATA EXTENDS POINTS LEAD WITH DOMINATING PERFORMANCE
LAKE BALBOA,
CALIF. (JULY 12, 2010)
– Joey Licata, Jr. swept the weekend’s ASA TRUCK SERIES activities
at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, Calif., winning the 50 lap feature
to claim his fourth win of the 2010 season.
Licata, the
2009 series champion, extended his points lead in the 2010
campaign. The 18 year-old driver is a member of the Ron Sutton’s
Winner’s Circle driver development team in Sacramento, Calif. and
also drives Late Models for Tim Huddleson’s High Point Racing.
He has
finished and qualified in the top-two in all six ASA TRUCK SERIES
races he’s entered.

– Joey Licata, Jr. gave Ron Sutton’s Winner’s Circle its first ever
Modified win in Saturday night’s NASCAR Whelen All-American
Series-sanctioned action at Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton, Calif.
The 18
year-old is the 2009 ASA TRUCK SERIES champion and leads the points
in the 2010 ASA TRUCK SERIES.

FIFTH TOP-TWO OF THE SEASON FOR LICATA IN ASA TRUCK SERIES
LAKE BALBOA,
CALIF. (JUNE 21, 2010) – 18
year-old Joey Licata, Jr. picked up his fifth top-two of the 2010
ASA TRUCK SERIES on Saturday at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale,
Calif., qualifying on the pole and finishing second.
The 2009 ASA
TRUCK SERIES champion entered the event with the division points
lead and on the heels of back-to-back series wins. Licata won both
the May 22 event at Toyota Speedway and the June 5 race at Las Vegas.
Licata, who is a
member of Ron Sutton’s Winner’s Circle driver development, drives
the #71 United Nissan / Justice Brothers Chevrolet Colorado.

LICATA SCORES BACK TO BACK VICTORIES IN ASA TRUCK SERIES

– 18 year-old Joey Licata, Jr. won his second straight ASA TRUCK
SERIES race on Saturday at the Las Vegas Bullring after setting fast
time and taking the lead on lap 29.

5.2 - Licata
runs strong at Irwindale for a 7th place finish
Joey
Licata made his second start for High Point Racing and Tim Huddleson,
driving the #55 Late Model on Saturday night to a 7th place finish
at Toyota Speedway.
Licata qualified
eighth on the half-mile asphalt oval with a time of 18.936 seconds.
He started and ran in eighth for much of the early laps before
moving into seventh on lap 20.

scheduled race is May 15 at Toyota Speedway. |
4.18 - Licata
makes debut at Toyota Speedway
Joey
Licata made his 2010 debut at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale driving
for Tim Huddelson and High Point Racing on Saturday night. After
qualifying 9th out 19 cars on hand, the 2009 ASA Speed Truck
champion was ready for a 50 lap feature.
Unfortunately his
debut was cut short early on lap 15 but Licata will return to the
half-mile speedway on May 15.
His next race is
scheduled for April 24 in the ASA TRUCKS at I-10 Speedway in Blythe,
Calif. |
4.7 - Licata
finishes second at Havasu in ASA Trucks
Joey
Licata raced for United Nissan in the ASA Truck Series at Havasu 95
Speedway on Saturday night. The 2009 series champion picked up right
where he left off by scoring a second place finish against of a
field of 10 trucks.
Licata's next race
will be on April 17 in the NASCAR Late Models at Toyota Speedway.
Licata is a rookie driving for Tim Huddleson's High Point Racing on
the half-mile asphalt oval just outside of Los Angeles. |
3.24 - Licata
to race for High Point Racing at Toyota Speedway
Joey has
announced he will be racing eight races in the High Point Racing #
55 Late Model at
Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, Calif.
Toyota Speedway has long been regarded as the top short-track in the
country and Tim Huddleston’s High Point Racing is considered the top
team at the venue.
Joey will also be
running a limited schedule for RSWC in Modifieds at Stockton and a
limited schedule in the ASA Speed Trucks for United Nissan.
His first race will be
April 3rd in the ASA Speed Trucks at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake
Havasu, AZ.
